This Melts My Heart

I finally convinced the Hubs to let me do some pictures of him with the baby. And they are EXACTLY what I wanted them to be. Next step...try to get a family photo of the 4 of us!!

I am too tired for a proper post. I have been quite sick all week. Bad cough that just won't go away and VERY plugged up sinuses. I kind of suspect bronchitis, but I am waiting till tomorrow to decide. Anyway, I am exhausted and need to get my butt to bed. My little love is calling me to cuddle with her, so I must go.

The baby won't stop crying...since like last night sometime...the 4 year old who can't usually poop and takes daily laxatives has the shits plus a nasty cough and a fever that comes and goes....and I got about 5 minutes sleep last night. *SIGH*

First, I want to tell you that my mom had her tests and she is FINE! What a relief! Phew. Thanks for the prayers!

Ok, on to my story.

About 3 weeks ago on a lazy Sunday afternoon we started to get ready to go to the IL's for our weekly dinner. The hubs and I both needed showers and I decided that I could kill two birds with one stone and get some wifely duties out of the way while getting cleaned up. So, I put the TV on in our bedroom and asked Chelsea to watch it with her baby sister and that we'd be back soon. Then we jumped in the shower like the bad parents we are, and had a quickie. No big deal, right?

Except my daughter has the memory of an elephant.

The past week, we had an ice storm that left TONS of homes without power for DAYS. Our home was one of those, so we packed up and stayed at my parents house for a few nights. The second morning we were there, my mom was getting ready for work in the bathroom and Chelsea was in there hanging out with her and chatting. Mom proceeded to tell Chelsea that she "shared her shower with a bucket full of water" that Poppy (my Dad) had left in the tub incase the power went off there...well water, pump doesn't work with out power) since the bucket was full and too heavy to takoeut. Chelsea mulled this over and then told Nanny that "Mommy and Daddy share the shower too" and that she had to "babysit".


BUSTED!!!!

Blame Canada

I wanted to share some facts about Canada you may not know (or even care about!)...

1. We have provinces, not states.

2. It's not that much colder than most of the US, except for WAY up north.

3. We have better Oreo's, Smarties, Chinese food and McDonald's.

4. Health Care if "free" but you still need insurance for hospital stays, medications, etc. You don't just walk out with free pills.

5. Marijuana *IS* illegal (Shout out to Andrea here!)

6. The legal drinking age is 19 in MOST provinces, 18 in Quebec and one of the prarie provinces, I believe.

7. We have the metric system and HATE it. Lots of people don't use it.

8. Our beer is stronger :D

9. Canadian movies suck...and we know it.

10. The Tragically Hip dudes are Canadian, so are the Trailer Park Boys...Britney Spears, thankfully, is NOT.
